Finally all set to see the upcoming hungama in Kerala, BCCI confirmed the name and the venue for Kerala's own IPL team KOCHI TUSKERS KERALA. Home ground for Kochi team is confirmed by the BCCI, and also they revealed that they have no intention to change the venue from Kochi to any other place because the team stand for Kochi, then the team owners also agree with that. Other positive new from the part of team owners is they ready to change the name of the team according to the taste of the team lovers. This changes in the near past ensure Kochi can part of the IPL hungama. Team signed contract with three Kerala players Raiphi Vincent Gomez, P.Prasanth.

Kochi is not only best for its cultural, educational..etc other than it is treated as one of the growing cities in India. For supporting this views lot of positive things are happened in the near future, Vallarpadam container terminal started its operations in Kochi in the near past, it is treated as one of the big in the field. The dream project of Kerala 'Smart City' is coming true. Kerala Government signed contracts with Dubai Government for starting the project. And also lot of developmental activities are done by the Kerala Government and Cochin Corporation. One unfortunate thing is our metro train project waiting for approval from the Central Government. KTK signed contract with 17 players from the IPL 2011 Auction. They got five specialist batsman those being Mahela Jayawardene, VVS Laxman, Brad Hodge, Owais Shah and Michael Klinger. and the team signed six bowlers, the most notable being Sri Lankan off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan others included Sreesanth, RP Singh, Ramesh Powar, Vinay Kumar and Steve O'Keefe. They got Four all-rounders were signed those being Ravindra Jadeja, Steven Smith, Thisara Perera and John Hastings. Two renowned Wicket-Keeper batsmen were signed up with Brendon McCullum who is the leading run scorer in Twenty20 Internationals and Parthiv Patel. team owners and Kerala hopes this team will champ for Kochi and Kerala. And they appointed 4 Support Staff Geoff Lawson as Coach, Hrishikesh Kanitkar as Assistant Coach and VVS Laxman as Batting Coach.

VENUE

Kochi Tuskers Kerala (KTK) will host 5 home matches at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium. The rest of 2 home matches will be played at the Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
