One of most happiest news that ever conceived by the football lovers and sports lovers here in Kerala is FIFA selected Kochi is one of the venue for FIFA U-17 World Cup. Kerala is a state which give more importants to sports, this gods own country created lots of national footballers like I.M Vijayan, Joepaul Anchery, C.V Pappachen, Muhammed Rafi, C.K Vineeth, Rino Anto, Pradeep etc.Lots of Olympians like P.T Usha, K.M Beena Mol, MD Valsamma, Anju Bobby George ...etc and also players from different games like Hockey player Sreejesh etc. This is a state were sports is a part in their blood. This under seventeen sporting event become on of the great sporting event that state going to celebrate. Kochi witnessed capacity crowds when famous football matches like ISL and cricket Matches and its witnessed around one lakh in the India VS Iraq match in 1996. Kochi Jawahar lal Nehru stadium witnessed large crowds when Kerala Blasters playing in Indian Super League.

FIFA U-17 world cup will start october 2017 in India. There are 24 teams will play in the tournament. Six venues are selected for the tournament, Kochi, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Guwhati,Goa. Kochi will get around 10 matches. All match schedule or fixtures will be officially announced by the FIFA authorities. There are 5 teams qualified from Asia, teams are India, Iran,Iraq,Japan,North Korea, Teams from other quantifiable will be available soon.
